Gash bell ( Zatch bell )

Hi again people!! Yes as usual, today i am going to talk about anime again. As you know i really don't have any idea what to blog other than anime. So if you people have any request or ideas, you can kindly drop me a message, a tag at the chatbox, msn but never email me. I am a person who do not check email :p The anime i am introducing today is zatch bell or in japanese would be gash bell. Although this anime has a lot of fightings, however it does give the ''serious'' feelings to the people. Most of the time you will be laughing at the screen. This anime series contains 150 episodes and 1 movie. This anime contains comedy, action and adventure. My rating for this anime is 8/10.



The story follows a boy, kiyomaru takamine, a 14 year old boy in junior high school. He is a depressed don't care about world guy. Due to his intelligence, he is isolated from the rest of his classmate. This results of kiyomaru turning into a not sociable guy who thinks that other people are just rubbish. One day, while kiyomaru is lying on his bed, A small boy grabbing on a bird just crash into his windows. The boy say that his name was gash bell. Claiming that he was sent by kiyomaru father to take care of kiyomaru. Gash also reveals that he is here because he wanted to repay kiyomaru father for taking care of him while he had lost his memories. Under the help of gash, kiyomaru started to open his hearts to other people.

Soon, gash and kiyomaru lives just get complicated when they were attacked by some unknown people. They later learned that gash is not a human but a mamodo. 100 mamodo including gash has come to earth in search of a human partner to fight with them. The mamodos were able to use spells when their human partners recite a spell from a book that only belongs to each mamodo. It is also known that once their book is burn, the mamodo that belongs to the book will also disappear and goes back to the mamodo world. The 100 mamodo will fight each other until last one standing where he or she will claim the position of the mamodo king.

Needless to say after gash help kiyomaru to open his heart to other people, kiyomaru has also decided to fight with gash. Along the way, they see some mamodo fighting unwillingly and also some that fights for the wrong reasons. Because of this gash decided to fight on and become a kind king. During their battles, they also learned the importance of having friends and courage. At the same time, gash also started to regain his lost memories which will unlocks a terrifying secrets behind his past.



The anime is formatted in a way that it is similar to a rpg game. Which means you can expect the characters in the anime to unlock new skills or spells. I feel that this anime is good because instead of adults fighting which is very common, it is replaced by mostly childern's in this anime. Another thing is that instead of using swords , guns to fight, they are actually using spells. This anime kinds of reminded me of medabots where robots are required to fight with their human partner listening to their commands which is quite similar to gash bell. They are also different in the sense that in gash bell, the human partners are actually also involved in the fight since they are holding the books that are to be burn. So you can expect some stunman action. Not only that,70% of the time you will be laughing.

Of course this anime has its flaws, i feel that 150 episodes is far too long. Some parts it has too much talking making the fighting of some enemy to occupy about 5 episodes. The makes the whole thing really draggy. Comparing to the manga, there is too much difference, making the anime looks really down. There were some spells and characters that is encountered in the manga missing from the anime. This makes the ending really incomplete. So, i think if they could fill in this missing parts, changing the anime story closer to the manga, it will definitely make the anime better and more complete. Yes i should say it has a nice plot but a really bad ending.



There are quite alot of songs inside, so i will only introduce the one that i really think is not bad.

My personal favourite is personal and Chichi wo moge. They are really catchy and the lyrics and MV for chichi wo moge will definitely make you wanna laugh!! So if you are interested in the song, why not watch the anime too ? :]
