The story starts from a normal high school boy, Manaka junpei. One day , he walks to the root top of his school and suddenly an unknown girl just came falling from above exposing her strawberry panties. At first sight, junpei find her mesmerising from the view at sunset. However, before junpei can take a good look at her, she had already run away leaving her maths notebook behind. Later he found out that the note book belongs to an ordinary girl in her class who he did not notice. After that he found out that toujo is actually a gifted novel writer.
After that junpei shares his dream of becoming an film director with her and they became good friends of having a ambition to create a movie together. At the same time he believes that the mystery girl he is finding is the most popular girl in school, Nishino tsukasa. In order to recapture the shot at the root top, he believes that only way is to date her. So based on toujo's suggestion, junpei confessed to nishino and manage to win her heart. However not long later, junpei found out that the mystery girl is actually not nishino but toujo. Junpei's heart starts to waver and later he becomes even more undecisive when more girls starts to fall for him.....
Most of the time, this anime is really very funny. So i should say this is a romance anime with most of the element being epic. The main character in the story has a lot of inner talks in the anime. The funny part is so much , it makes the whole anime really not serious even it is a romance anime. Also, the female characters tend to expose their panties every now and then in the series. So for those people who has fetish for panties, this is definitely the anime for you :P
The thing i like about this anime is that i think the characters are pretty well drawn. This is especially important for romance anime. For me , what really attracts me to watch these type of anime is the characters in the anime. Even the plot is really very interesting, but if the characters do not looks attractive enough, it would spoilt the whole scene right? Agree ? :DD
Another good point is the variety of the female characters surrounding the male character. This actually spice up the whole story. Imagine, 4 pretty girls of different traits surrounding the main character making him undecisive. The whole scene would make it very funny when he has problems choosing one of them. This will eventually make the people watching difficult to think and choose among them. Compared to most of the romance anime with only one female character, we would not be bored from watching the same old character.
The thing i dont like is that the introduction to the main plot is way too long. What i mean is that the coming in of the main characters in the story is too long. It occupies too much episodes making the story rather draggy. Another thing i dont like is the spoiler ending. What i meant is that throughout the whole story, in the end the main character has not even decide on the girl he likes. This makes the story look rather pointless and incomplete. As i believe that a roamance story must have a good plot and a good ending. A good ending does not mean happy ending but a ending that can satisfy the people watching it :DD
Frankly speaking, i am not really fond of the songs in the series. So i do not even bother listening to it. To be fair, it is strictly my own opinion. So you can still try to listen :DD
